TAG: Confessions of a Blogger

The amazing Andrea tagged me in this fun little blog post! I haven't ever been tagged in anything like this, so I was really excited to do this post for you guys!

When did you start your blog? 

I started my blog a little over a year ago! December 2011 was when I made my first post! 

Have you had any past online presence before? 

Yes! I was all over the place! I can't tell you how many Tumblr's I've had. I honestly wasn't expecting this blog to last this long! I'm glad it has though ;p 

Why did you start a blog? 

I started this blog to post about my music, daily life, and some DIY projects!

When did you become serious about starting a blog? 

Well, when I first started this blog I wouldn't say that I was very serious about any one thing or even posting regularly. When I decided that makeup was my niche in the blogging world I became very serious about posting and keeping everything up to date!

What was your first post? 

Like I said, I started this blog to talk about my music (which is still something I do and am passionate about) and day-to-day life. In my first post I talked about some recording equipment I had just gotten for Christmas! 

What has been your biggest challenge about blogging? 

Lately, it's the time to get around to blogging! Classes are picking up and with midterms starting, I'm under a ton of pressure! 

Where do you see your blog in one year? 

Definitely expanded! I would love to be more involved in different things within the blogging community and possibly attend a blogging convention! I want my blog to cross over into real life! 

What is the most rewarding thing about blogging? 

Definitely making new friends and talking to all of you on a regular basis! I love when people tweet me and ask me for makeup advice - it's something that never would have happened if I never started blogging! It feels good to know that people trust and want my advice. 

What is the most discouraging thing that happens to you? 

This may sound really cheesy because I don't blog for numbers - but it's not having that many followers! I spend countless hours taking quality photos, writing up reviews, and posting, and it's always a bummer when I go to a blog with nothing but Polyvore photos on it with 1K followers or something! I'm always like, "what?!" 

What's your lasting inspiration or motivation?

My motivation is you! I want to spit out more reviews and tutorials to share with you guys because I know some people who look forward to them! My inspiration would definitely be the big-name bloggers who have made it for themselves - like Temptalia, Makeup and Beauty Blog, ect.!
